A mother and daughter are gunned down
On December 16, 2013, Lisa Arbuthnot, age 45, and her daughter Ryesha were tragically killed in New Orleans East. The incident took place around 3:15 a.m. at the Wind Run Apartments on the North I-10 Service Road. Responding officers found Lisa and Ryesha at the scene, both victims of a violent attack involving both gunshots and stab wounds. The police believed that the attack was not random but provided limited initial information regarding motives or suspects.
