Hiltrud A. "Hiltie" Muenzel, aged 88, was found dead on November 30, 2021, in her home in Moss Landing, California. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office responded to a call early that morning from a neighbor who had received a distressing phone call from Hiltrud's husband, Arthur Muenzel. Arthur, aged 89, informed the neighbor that he had killed his wife and intended to take his own life.
