On May 30, 2022, 32-year-old Jose Luis Ortiz Dejesus was tragically shot and killed in San Juan Capistrano, California. The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. when deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Calle San Francisco following reports of unknown trouble. Upon arrival, they found Ortiz Dejesus inside a residence with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of the Orange County Fire Authority, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
