On September 25, 2022, Wilmer Navarro, a 24-year-old resident of Mendota, California, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:30 a.m., on the 600 block of S. Kate Street in Mendota. Navarro was found alongside another victim, 47-year-old Jose Abrego-Guardado, both suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
