Bessie Amy Bacon Hagerman, a resident of Medina, NY, tragically lost her life on February 7, 1949. The circumstances surrounding her death were both shocking and heartbreaking. Bessie was killed by her son, Carl Hagerman, who shot her with a twenty-gauge shotgun. The incident occurred at their home on 133 Elizabeth Street.
