Douglas Berry, a 63-year-old resident of Watertown, NY, tragically lost his life on September 8, 1989. Berry was the owner of a jewelry store located on the Public Square in Watertown. On that fateful day, he was killed during a botched burglary at his store. The incident occurred when serial killer Gary Evans, along with an accomplice, broke into Berry's store with the intent to rob it.
