Jose Gabriel Escarpetta, a 38-year-old resident of Manhattan, New York, tragically lost his life on June 19, 1995. Escarpetta was a gas station attendant who was working near the Avenue of the Americas when he encountered Darnell Collins, a spree killer who was on a violent rampage across New Jersey and New York.
