In the summer of 2015, the life of 17-year-old Ortez Williams Jr. was tragically cut short in New Orleans East. On the evening of July 16th, just before 7:30 p.m., police responded to a call in the 6700 block of Tara Lane. There, they discovered Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
