Robert M. Newell, a 50-year-old retired NYPD officer, tragically died on January 22, 2015, in Manhattan, NY. His death occurred in the Thurgood Marshall U.S. Courthouse, where he had been working as a security officer since his retirement from the NYPD in 2000.
