James McCloskey, aged 54, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2015, in Buffalo, NY. McCloskey was walking down Arkansas Street, pushing a shopping cart full of cans, when he was confronted by two brothers, German Rosado-Thomas, 20, and Alvin Marrero, 16. The brothers attempted to rob McCloskey, and during the altercation, Marrero struck McCloskey in the head with a fake gun. Rosado-Thomas then pistol-whipped and fatally shot McCloskey.
