Wilson Gil-Torres, an 18-year-old high school senior from Copiague, NY, tragically lost his life on March 18, 2016. The incident occurred when his friend, Nefi Reyes, also 18, was showing off a handgun at an apartment on Great Neck Road in Copiague. According to reports, the gun accidentally discharged, striking Wilson in the chest. Despite being rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, Wilson succumbed to his injuries.
