Kevin Paro, aged 58, tragically passed away on November 24, 2016, in Sandy Creek, New York. The incident occurred during a Thanksgiving hunting trip near the family's home. Kevin's son, Kristopher Paro, mistook his father for a deer and fatally shot him. Kristopher was in a tree stand in the woods behind their home when he heard what he believed to be a deer about 100 yards away.
