On the evening of April 13, 2017, Regina Flecha, a 37-year-old resident of Dix Hills, New York, tragically lost her life in a violent incident. The events unfolded on Burroughs Avenue, north of Kenmore Street, where Flecha was confronted by her boyfriend, Eric Bermudez. According to reports, Bermudez shot Flecha multiple times during the confrontation. After the shooting, Bermudez pulled Flecha into his vehicle and drove away from the scene.
