On a summer evening in Theresa, New York, 36-year-old male, Joel Davis, a New York State Trooper, responded to a domestic disturbance call that tragically ended his life. On July 9, 2017, Trooper Davis was the first to arrive at a residence following reports of shots being fired. As he approached the home, he was fatally shot by Justin Walters, a U.S. Army soldier stationed at nearby Fort Drum.
