Thomas E. Shepherd Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Rome, NY, tragically lost his life on August 19, 2017. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when police responded to reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Woodrow Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Shepherd on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to Rome Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
