Trevor Rhudd, a 15-year-old male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of Saturday, January 13th. The incident occurred within the second-floor stairwell of his own apartment building on Beach Channel Drive, a place that should have been a sanctuary for the teenager.
He was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sudden and violent nature of Trevor's death sent shockwaves through his community. In the immediate aftermath, his grieving mother voiced her belief that her son was killed by a friend. The motive for this senseless act was rumored to be an iPhone, a seemingly trivial object that led to an irreversible loss.
