Thiasia Williams, a 28-year-old nurse from Amityville, New York, tragically lost her life on August 1, 2020, in Hempstead. The incident occurred shortly after midnight when Williams was picking up her boyfriend from a birthday party on Martin Luther King Drive. As she sat in her car, shots were fired from a white vehicle, striking both Williams and a 29-year-old woman who was with her.
