Aldair J. Melchor, a 25-year-old resident of College Point, Queens, New York, tragically lost his life on July 18, 2021. Melchor was the victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred around 7:20 p.m. on 132nd Street near 32nd Avenue in Flushing. He was standing with a woman when a black car approached, and a gunman inside the vehicle opened fire. Melchor was struck in the head and left arm.
