Darkyus Raymond, a 24-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, was killed on January 5, 2017, in the city's Eighth District. The homicide occurred in the early morning hours at the intersection of Bourbon and Kerelec Streets. Officers from the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) responded to reports of a shooting and found Raymond with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
