Amelia Laguerre, a 33-year-old woman, was fatally shot on March 31, 2022, in a parking garage at her workplace in New Hyde Park, New York. A mother to a young son, Laguerre was a dedicated employee at Northwell Health for a decade. Her life was cut short in an act of violence perpetrated by her ex-fiancé, Quay Sean Hines, then 33, of Bay Shore.
