John W. Stem Sr., a police officer with the Baltimore County Police Department, tragically died from complications related to a gunshot wound he sustained on July 6, 1977. On that day, Officer Stem and Patrolman Charles Huckeba responded to a domestic dispute call in the 2400 block of Brunswick Road.
