In the quiet neighborhood of Dundalk, Maryland, a young woman's life was tragically cut short in a sudden burst of violence that has left her family searching for answers for over a decade. Tiesha Rogers, a 23-year-old female, had recently purchased her own home on Conley Street, a significant accomplishment for the young woman known for her kind heart and willingness to help others.
On the evening of March 9, 2015, Tiesha and a friend were returning home from a shopping trip.
As they got out of their car in the 7200 block of Conley Street, they were ambushed by at least two unidentified suspects who opened fire before quickly fleeing the scene. Neighbors would later tell reporters they believed the assailants had been lying in wait for the two women. When first responders arrived, they found both women suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, Tiesha Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene. Her friend was transported to a local hospital and survived the attack.
In the immediate aftermath, Baltimore County Police homicide detectives began an intensive investigation. They believed the shooting was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted attack. Despite their efforts, and the heartfelt pleas from Tiesha's grandmother, Charlene Alexander, who had raised her, the case grew cold. For years, there was little movement in the investigation, leaving a void in the lives of those who knew and loved Tiesha.
Ten years later, in April 2025, a glimmer of hope emerged when the Baltimore County Police Department released a composite sketch of a man they wanted to question in connection with the murder. This development brought renewed attention to the unsolved case, as Tiesha's family once again appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the arrest of those responsible for her death. To date, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the fatal shooting remains unclear. The case continues to be an open investigation, a painful reminder of a life taken too soon.
