Malcolm "Mike" Winffel, aged 45, tragically lost his life on May 6, 2016, in Bethesda, Maryland. Winffel was fatally shot in the parking lot of Montgomery Mall while attempting to assist a woman who was being carjacked. The suspect, 62-year-old Eulalio Tordil, had already been involved in a series of violent incidents that day, including the fatal shooting of his estranged wife the previous day.
