On a quiet Saturday afternoon, just two days before Christmas in 2017, a dispute between neighbors in Nanjemoy, Maryland, turned deadly, claiming the life of 35-year-old Wayne Lee Proctor Jr. The tragic events unfolded on December 23rd, when Marcus Darnell Johnson, then 33, went to Proctor's home on Bowie Road to confront him about a thirty-dollar debt. The argument, which began outside of the residence, quickly escalated. Proctor's wife and children were present during the heated exchange.
