In the quiet town of Sharpsburg, Maryland, the lives of a young couple came to a tragic end in what authorities would later describe as a murder-suicide. Tyler Matthew Passmore, a 25-year-old male, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at his home. Also found deceased was his 21-year-old wife, Rhiannon L. Passmore.
Originally from Curwensville, Pennsylvania, Passmore was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School's class of 2012.
He had established a career as a Journeyman Electrician for Power Solutions of Bowie, Maryland, and was a member of the Local 26 IBEW, where he had completed a five-year apprenticeship. Those who knew him were left to grapple with the sudden and violent end to his life.
The investigation into the deaths of Tyler and Rhiannon Passmore concluded that their deaths were the result of a domestic murder-suicide, with the incident being attributed to gun violence. Due to the nature of the event, there were no suspects sought by law enforcement, and consequently, no arrests were made in connection with the case. The community was left to mourn the loss of the two young lives cut short.
