In the early afternoon of October 17, 2018, shots rang out in the 2600 block of Saint Benedict Street in Baltimore, Maryland, leaving 26-year-old Travon Reid critically injured. A Black male, Reid was rushed to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, on October 18, 2018, and his death was ruled a homicide.
