In the small town of Latta, South Carolina, the life of 20-year-old Summer Danielle Grice was tragically cut short on November 15, 2014. On that day, she was found deceased in a home in the Floydale community, the victim of a violent incident that also claimed the lives of 30-year-old Tiana Mendez and her 33-year-old husband, Miguel Diego-Mendez.
Dillon County Sheriff's deputies were called to the residence after a child in the home discovered one of the victims and alerted authorities.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement found the bodies of Summer, Tiana, and Miguel. The initial investigation into the three deaths quickly pointed towards a murder-suicide, a conclusion later confirmed by the Dillon County Coroner following autopsies.
