On a tragic Sunday morning, February 8, 2015, the community of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, was shaken by the violent deaths of two women. Althea Goss, a 54-year-old female, and her daughter, Kennitha 'Kupie' LaBoard, age 33, were fatally shot inside their home. The incident, which unfolded around 6:00 a.m., was the devastating culmination of a history of domestic abuse.
