Leric Merriweather, a 29-year-old resident of Edgefield, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 6, 2015. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Moragne Street, where Merriweather was shot and killed following an altercation. Earlier that day, Merriweather had been hosting a cookout for his family and his two young sons. The situation escalated when a verbal dispute broke out, leading Merriweather to ask everyone, including Montrell Deshawn Troutman, to leave his house.
