On the evening of August 10, 2015, a violent confrontation unfolded on Collins Street in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Dominic Marquis Goodwin. Officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department were dispatched to the scene around 7:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting near an apartment complex.
