In the early morning hours of August 14, 2015, the quiet community of Ridgeville, South Carolina, was shaken by a grim discovery. The bodies of 32-year-old Debra Denise Farmer Bazzle, a female resident of Summerville, and 38-year-old Tyrone Cummings were found lying in the street outside the Eight Ball Club. Both had been fatally shot in a double homicide that would leave a lasting impact on the small town.
Debra, affectionately known as 'DeDe,' was a mother of three, born in Charleston.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the two deaths. Their efforts led to the identification and arrest of a suspect, Quadrik Michael Sean Willis. Investigators charged Willis with two counts of murder for the deaths of Bazzle and Cummings. In addition to the murder charges, Willis also faced a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.
The legal proceedings against Quadrik Michael Sean Willis culminated in a trial where he was found guilty on all counts. In October 2017, a judge sentenced Willis to life in prison for the murders.
