Benjamin Turner, a 20-year-old African American male, was shot on the night of August 2, 2016, at The Enclave at Breckenridge apartment complex off Breckenridge Lane in Louisville, Kentucky. The shooting was reported around 10:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Church Park Circle, a quiet area of the Hikes Point neighborhood where residents later said the violence felt jarring and out of place.
