On December 8, 2017, Julio Cesar Valdes-Vivas, a 23-year-old Hispanic man from Louisville, Kentucky, was killed by gunfire at a home on Rossmoor Drive, in a residential neighborhood not far from the city’s busy shopping corridors. Louisville Metro Police classified his death as a homicide and recorded the location as 5103 Rossmoor Drive, placing his name among that year’s open murder investigations.
Julio had been born on February 12, 1994, and built a life rooted in work and family.
