A bright and energetic four-year-old boy named Karson Amari Ray Walker from Fayetteville, North Carolina, was known for a smile that could captivate a room. He was born on December 15, 2015, to his parents Samantha Lea Warner and Dondi Dion Walker Jr. Karson was a child full of life, known for his love for his dog BamBam and his toy cars. He also enjoyed attending church with his mother and grandmother.
The young boy's life was tragically cut short on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
Karson was fatally shot around 3 p.m. in the vicinity of Millpond Road in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina. The incident led to the arrest of a suspect, Henry Tyrone Moody, a 22-year-old from Loris, South Carolina, approximately six hours after the shooting occurred.
Moody was subsequently charged with murder in connection with the death of Karson Walker. In addition to the murder charge, he also faced accusations of injury to property and resisting, delaying, and obstructing an investigation. Following his arrest, he was arraigned and ordered to be held without bond. In remembrance of Karson, a gathering to celebrate his life was held on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Victory Baptist Church in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Those who attended were encouraged to wear orange, which was his favorite color.
