In the early morning hours of January 9, 2021, the life of 29-year-old Devonne J. Mayfield, a Black/African American male from Summerville, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The fatal incident unfolded in the parking lot of an Advance Auto Parts store located at 4892 Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston.
