Jose De Jesus Flores, a 17-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, was fatally shot on January 28, 2017. The incident took place at approximately 8:56 p.m. in the area of the 900 block of Maine Avenue. Police were dispatched in response to reports of gunfire, and upon arrival, officers found Flores in an alley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel but succumbed to his injuries soon after arriving.
