In the fall of 2021, the life of 17-year-old Elijah Michael Smith was tragically cut short in Simpsonville, South Carolina. A senior at Hillcrest High School, Elijah was known for his love of basketball and the joy he brought to his family and friends. On the evening of October 24, 2021, what began as a regular night ended in a senseless act of violence that would forever alter the lives of many.
