On May 2, 1979, the body of 22-year-old Jerry Hunter, a male forklift operator, was discovered in a ditch in Sedgwick County, Kansas. His pickup truck had been found separately in the parking lot of a convenience store located at 85th North and Meridian in Valley Center. A mile away, at 85th North and Seneca, authorities located Hunter's body.
