Who killed Barbara Smith?
Barbara Smith, a 37-year-old woman from Wichita, Kansas, was brutally murdered on October 24, 1980. Her body was discovered in her home by her husband and daughter. Barbara had been bludgeoned to death with severe blunt force trauma to the head. In an attempt to cover up the crime, her killer tried to set the house on fire, but the attempt was unsuccessful. The last time her family saw her alive was the night before, on October 23, 1980.
