Vanessa Cross, a 31-year-old woman from Marion, South Carolina, tragically lost her life on the night of September 14, 2022. Vanessa, who was eight months pregnant at the time, was shot and killed inside her home on Wallace Circle. The incident was particularly harrowing as her two young children, aged seven and four, were present in the home during the shooting. The seven-year-old child went to a neighbor's house to report that his mother had been shot.
