Patrolman William P. Mulvihill, a 28-year-old officer with the Kansas City Police Department, tragically lost his life on March 22, 1905. The incident occurred while he was working in plainclothes to apprehend a thief targeting intoxicated individuals. On that fateful night, officers were attempting to arrest a suspect in an alleyway near 558 Walnut.
