Thelma Barcus Mosser, aged 29, tragically lost her life on January 2, 1951, in Joplin, Missouri. Thelma, along with her husband Carl Peter Mosser and their three children, Ronald Dean, Gary Carl, and Pamela Sue, were victims of a brutal crime. The family was traveling on Route 66 when they encountered William "Billy" Cook, a hitchhiker who would become their murderer.
