Sergeant Jesse L. Henderson, a dedicated officer with the Wellston Police Department in Missouri, tragically lost his life on October 1, 1981. At the age of 49, Sergeant Henderson was responding to a burglary at a local liquor store located at 6327 Plymouth Avenue. As he exited his vehicle, he was shot once in the chest by the perpetrators.
