Sergeant Carl Dewayne Graham Jr., a 37-year-old member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, was tragically killed on March 20, 2005, outside his residence near Van Buren, Missouri. On that fateful day, a passing motorist discovered Sgt. Graham lying on the ground near his patrol car, still in uniform. An autopsy revealed that he had been ambushed and shot with both a rifle and a shotgun.
