Clem Russell, a 19-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, was tragically killed on March 15, 2014. Russell was shot while gambling with friends in an alley behind the 3500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. when an unknown gunman opened fire, striking Russell in the back and shoulder. Another 20-year-old victim was also shot in the shoulder but survived. Russell's death was one of four shootings in St. Louis City that night, but he was the only fatality.
