In a tragic turn of events on a late summer evening, the life of 41-year-old Kimberly A. Adams was cut short in her Saint-Peters, Missouri, home. On Thursday, August 30, 2018, law enforcement responded to a request for a welfare check at the residence on Southwinds Drive. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of Kimberly and her husband, 48-year-old Leslie C. Adams, in a bedroom.

Charles County police revealed the grim reality of what had transpired. Authorities determined that Leslie Adams fatally shot his wife before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The case was officially ruled a murder-suicide.
