In the early morning hours of April 17, 2020, the life of 21-year-old Alexuas Acord was tragically cut short in Grandview, Missouri. A young mother, Acord was discovered inside her vehicle in the 13100 block of 15th Street, having been fatally shot. The incident occurred in the driveway of her own home. At the time of her death, she was a mother to two children.
Sources indicate that in the moments leading up to her death, Acord was sitting in her car.
She had briefly gone inside her house before returning to the vehicle. It was then that an unknown assailant or assailants shot her multiple times. Despite the presence of others in the house who heard the gunshots, Acord was not discovered until a friend arrived at the scene and found her unresponsive.
To this day, the murder of Alexuas Acord remains unsolved, and no arrests have been made in connection with her death. The Grandview Police Department has investigated the case, and while they have received some anonymous tips, they have stated a need for more leads from the public. In an effort to generate new information, a reward has been offered for tips that lead to an arrest. The family of Alexuas Acord, including her parents and siblings, continue to wait for answers and justice in her case. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects.
