In the winter of 2021, tragedy once again struck a Kansas City, Missouri family that had already been shattered by gun violence. Sixteen-year-old Jayson Ugwuh Jr., a male student at Raytown High School, was fatally shot on the evening of January 10th. The incident that claimed Jayson's life unfolded in the 5600 block of Paloma Avenue, where police discovered him inside a home, suffering from gunshot wounds.
