Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Cardell Crawford case closely, and a piece that really stood out to me is the role the location played in the whole tragedy. Westport Ale House is a well-known spot for a night out in Kansas City, but hearing about such violence happening there makes you think twice about how safe these places actually are. It’s tough to imagine that a night meant for fun could turn deadly so quickly. I'm curious if any of you have thoughts on how venues might have improved their security measures since this incident. Do you think local businesses are doing enough to keep their patrons safe, or is there more that could be done? I can’t even begin to imagine what Cardell’s family is going through, but it’s clear that no family should have to experience such loss. It's got to be so frustrating for them to not have clear answers or justice yet. It's crucial we keep discussions like this alive to push for greater safety at the places we frequent.
