Hey everyone, I was doing some reading on Vernon Eugene Whitener's case and noticed there's hardly any discussion about his personal items. Does anyone know if the police or river patrol ever found anything belonging to him along the riverbank or nearby areas? I know that can sometimes provide additional clues. It's curious since he was last seen on a fairly busy bridge. It makes me wonder if something might have been missed or overlooked that could give more insight into his final moments. Appreciate any info or theories you might have!
Has anyone looked into current technology for underwater searches in this area? I've read a bit about how advancements in sonar and underwater drones are being used to locate missing persons in bodies of water. Given that it’s been a few years since Vernon Eugene Whitener went missing, I’m curious if there’s been any consideration or efforts in that direction. It seems like it could provide new opportunities for recovering evidence or even a body. I really feel for the family, not having closure must be so tough. Maybe additional efforts with the latest technology could be just what's needed to finally get some answers.
I've been following the case of Vernon Eugene Whitener, and something that stands out to me is the lack of surveillance footage from the I-270 bridge area. Considering how busy that bridge is, you'd think there would be plenty of cameras around. It's so puzzling how someone could disappear from such a populated spot, and yet, we don't have any video evidence. Does anyone know if any nearby businesses or traffic cams could have caught something useful around that time on March 18, 2019? It seems crucial to have more visual leads, given the number of people who must have been around when he was last seen. Thoughts?
